If I had a quarter every time I was asked this question, I would be a millonaire by now. The answer is unfortunately: “No, I don’t think I am.” I have never met the famous journalist, and chances are, our paths will not cross any time soon.

My cousin Roro mentioned her many times in our conversations. I have seen almost every single picture in her Flickr’s photostream and read many webpages related to her and her priceless contributions and achievements.

A few weeks ago, she was just a radio personality to me. A name I have heard too many times. A person I thought I knew. After I googled the name, I found out there was a lot more to her than I thought. Every Haitian needs to know who Liliane Pierre-Paul is!
