Foundation for the Technological and Economic Advancement of Mirebalais
This organization is setting a very imprortant precedent. It would be ideal if more Haitian natives would consider helping their localities in a similar manner. Please, contact FATEM and let them know in what capacity you can help. Their cause is our cause. They might be able to help you in return, in case you want to start something like this for your birthplace.
The Design of the Week is going to focus on simplicity, again! Graphic designers are sometimes amazed at all the special effects we can apply in the last version of our favorite graphic software and the vast array of available plugins. As a result, we go crazy and overload our pieces with garbage.
The first version of this design looks pretty good, but is totally wrong for its intended purpose. For starters, it is too bright and shiny. And it is rather confined within this rectangular panel which makes it look like a credit card. I probably could find a few uses for this, but who has that kind of time!

Are you related to Liliane Pierre-Paul?
If I had a quarter every time I was asked this question, I would be a millonaire by now. The answer is unfortunately: “No, I don’t think I am.” I have never met the famous journalist, and chances are, our paths will not cross any time soon.

This must have been a very interesting site. Originally, it targeted the Haitian community in the greater Boston area and surrounding towns. It would be nice if one of us could contact the site creators and see if we could help them bring the project back.
